Q. Why am I unable to enter my India Address as my shipping address in the merchant page?
A. Ensure that you have not entered any special characters in the address field – some merchant pages may not be able to compute them.
Q. Can I use my India Address other than a shipping address?
A. Your India Address is only meant to be your online shipping address, not your billing address, or any other delivery.
Q. Is Cash on Delivery shipments accepted?
A. Sorry, we don’t accept cash on delivery for your shopping.
Q. Why have I received more than one package at my India address for a single merchant order?
A. If you buy more than one item within a single order, India merchants sometimes send the items in more than one package. Reasons for this include
  • some merchants ship different items from different warehouses
  • lack of stock availability of one or more order item(s) results in these item(s) being shipped later after they become available
Q. The merchant has indicated that my package(s) has been delivered to my India Address. Why isn't it displayed in 'Packages at India Address'?
A. Packages are usually updated into your account by the end of the next business day after arrival at your India Address.

There are cases where we are unable to assign the package(s) to a user's account due to
  • the receiver's name not matching the account name or
  • the delivery address being incomplete
If your packages are not reflected in your account within 2 business days after it has been delivered by the merchant, email us a copy of the merchant invoice and shipping tracking.
Q. Why hasn’t my package that I ordered directly from the merchant arrived at my India Address?
A. As this was a purchase that you made directly from the merchant, please check with them the status of your package. Check that you gave them your correct India Address.
Q. Can you check my package to ensure that the merchant delivered my items correctly and in good order?
A. We check all packages delivery to us and inform your package is not in good order.
Q. When attempting to deliver my package(s) to my India address, your office was closed and the courier had to leave them at the local post office. What happens next?
A. Courier will redeliver your packages to our office within the next 1 to 2 business days.
Q. What should I do if my package was delivered to the wrong India Address?
A. Contact the merchant to re-direct the package to your correct India Address. Please note that the courier will only take instructions from the you, the sender.
Q. In which currency I will be charged?
A. At present we are accepting payments in INR only.
Q. Do you accept parcel delivered physically (except courier/post) to you and ship to my overseas address?
A. No, we don’t. Only packages sent to us by online retailers will be accepted.
Q. What is BIGBOX?
A. BIGBOX is a price reduction service by Indiasey for customers who shop from multiple online stores. Indiasey combines multiple orders into a box or a polybag, to reduce volumetric weight. Our team discards unnecessary external packing materials (shoe boxes or gift boxes) and fit your items in the least number of boxes or polybags without compromising its safety.
Q. How does BIG BOX help save on shipping cost?
A. Orders may arrive in a disproportionately-sized box with unnecessary packing materials. This increases your volumetric weight, leading to higher-than-necessary shipping charges. Shipping cost stacks up as more packages are received.
BIG BOX helps you save up to 80% in shipping weight by transferring and combining the contents of multiple packages (of your choosing) to a box or bag of the lowest possible volumetric weight.
However, if BIG BOX increased the resulting package's weight, we cap it to the Pre-BIG BOX shipping weight.
Q. Can you consolidate my packages from multiple E-commerce websites?
A. Yes, You can use our BIG BOX services for package consolidation services
Q. What is “Buy for You” services?
A. Sometime Customers may not be able to buy form Indian E-commerce websites due to following reasons.
  • If you don’t have an existing active account with Indian E-commerce websites
  • You are unable to open account with Indian E-commerce websites as you don’t have Indian Mobile number for One Time Password (OTP)
  • Your overseas credit card not accepted by Indian E-commerce websites
  • If you are unable to find your item online
Under Buy for your services we remove these obstacles, giving you access to both Indian eCommerce websites and local shops.
You need provide information of your items you want to buy at our “Buy for You” sections and we will assist you in your purchase.
Q. What are the “Buy for You” Cost charges by IndiaSey?
A. Online shopping: No additional charges on Purchase, customer need to pay following charges based upon method of payment.
  • Credit card & Debit card: 4% Payment gate fee
  • PayPal : 9%
  • Direct bank Transfer to IndiaSey Account: No charges
Local Shops: 5% service charge of the order total and customer need to pay following charges based upon method of payment.

Q. Can I edit or Cancel my Buy for You order?
A. Yes. You can edit or cancel your order only before you make your payment. Once you submit your payment, you cannot edit your order anymore; however, you can cancel your order until we process the purchase of your items.
In case of online purchase, cancellation of order possible if allowed by seller. However, there will be credit card/PayPal transaction charge will be deducted from your refund payment.
In case of local shops purchase cancellation of order is not allowed.
Q. Are there exceptions to export restrictions for laboratory, medical or research use?
A. No. IndiaSey cannot export any chemical, drugs, peptides, biological media and animal, veterinary or human vaccines.
Q. Can you export agricultural Items like plants, seeds and soil?
A. IndiaSey can ship agricultural items for you if your country’s customs office allows them to be imported. Please make sure your agricultural products are properly labelled, including their genus, species and country of origin. The labelling requirement also applies to individual seed packets. We cannot ship or store any items we cannot identify, or are not properly labelled.
We are unable to export agricultural items if:
  1. Your country prohibits these items
  2. Your country requires a pre-shipment inspection
  3. A phytosanitary certificate must be provided by the shipper to import the product
We are unable to store or export live plants or loose soil. We will automatically return any live plants to the sender or dispose it.
Please contact your customs office to inquire about local import regulations.
Q. Can you export controlled substances?
A. No. IndiaSey cannot export controlled substances or any item that contains controlled substances. A controlled substance is any drug that is illegal or restricted for sale in India.
Q. Can you export lithium batteries?
A. No. However, we can export if the battery is within the device / equipment or packaged with the device / equipment. There are restrictions on the capacity of battery.
Q. Can you export motorized vehicles?
A. No. IndiaSey cannot export any motorized vehicles.
Q. Can you export non-prescription or over-the-counter medications?
A. Yes. We can export most medications, but they do require a prescription and it should not be banned in the receiving country.
All medications require:
  1. Being in the original packing
  2. Prescription
  3. Manufacturing Date
  4. Expiry Date
  5. Contents listed
Q. Can you export prescription medications?
A. Shipment of Prescription medications only allowed in only few countries, please contact us for any Prescription medications shipment
Q. Can you export Ayurvedic/ Homeopathic products?
A. Yes. However, if it is written on the product that it is for medicinal purpose, then it will be considered as a medicine and will require the following:
  1. Prescription
  2. MFD (Manufacturing Date)
  3. Expiry Date
  4. Contents listed
  5. Product has to be of a known brand
Shipment of Ayurvedic/ Homeopathic products only allowed in only few countries, please contact us for any Prescription medications shipment
Q. Can you export weapons or gun accessories?
A. No. IndiaSey will not export any product that appears to be a weapon, weapon part or accessory to a weapon.
Q. Can you ship food?
A. We cannot ship any food items that are perishable (require refrigeration), labelled in a foreign language, or restricted for export by the Indian Food and Drug Administration. We also suggest that you contact your local customs office to inquire if food can be imported to your country, as it is often restricted.
IndiaSey can ship food items that are branded and are non-perishable.
Homemade food items are not allowed to ship.
Q. Can you export perfume?
A. No, we can’t ship perfume.
Q. What is the difference between restricted and prohibited items?
A. Prohibited goods are those which cannot be exported. Example: Explosives, Cash, Bullion, Ivory, Ammunition, Illegal goods etc.
Restricted commodities are those can be accepted with certain documents, such as Antiques & work of art, Stamps, Toy guns, etc.
Please contact us for any specific information regarding your country and the items you wish to ship.
Q. What is considered as dangerous goods or hazardous material?
A. Dangerous goods/hazardous materials are items that require special handling, additional packaging and labelling to be transported internationally.
These items may or may not be allowed to ship to your country. Shipping dangerous goods is country-specific. Even if your country allows the import of an item, the carrier may not be licensed to handle and transport dangerous goods.
Items considered to be dangerous goods include: flammable items or items under pressure (e.g., hairspray, spray paint, lighters, nail polish and perfume).
Please contact us for specific information regarding your country and the items you wish to ship.
Q. Can you export Cosmetics?
A. Yes. Cosmetics can be shipped provided they are not restricted in your country. If it is liquid/semi liquid in nature, we may ask customer to provide get additional documents ( e.g MSDS, Lab report etc) from your seller and submit to us.
Q. Can you export liquid/semi liquid items?
A. Yes. We ship liquid/semi liquid items as long as they are not restricted in the receiving country or fall under the prohibited category of items. We may ask customer to provide get additional documents ( e.g MSDS, Lab report etc) from your seller and submit to us.
Q. Can you export Agarbatti/Incense?
A. No, we cannot ship Agarbatti/Incense.
Q. Can you send gold, silver and other precious stones?
A. No. Any form of precious metals are banned to be exported from India.
Q. Can i send Ghee?
A. Ghee import in certain countries is not allowed. Shipping of Ghee to an International location separately is possible only if the customer is ready to take the risk of the destination's customs duty
Q. Can I ship Dry Fish?
A. Dry fish can't be exported as an individual courier overseas. However, if you are a trader, you would require an IEC copy and a trading license to ship fish or any other animal abroad.
Q. Can we ship Sandalwood?
A. The shipping of Sandalwood is strictly prohibited to abroad as per the guidelines of Government of India, Directorate general of foreign trade. So, we do not ship Sandalwood overseas.
Q. Can Nicotine be shipped?
A. No, Nicotine can't be shipped to any country.
Q. What are the items not allowed to shipped?
A. IATA (International Air Transport Association) regulations prohibit items that may cause danger, damage or delay from international shipping. Please note sample sizes (if applicable) are also subject to the same restrictions. Items include (and are not limited to).
You will be held responsible and liable for paying any related cost occurred should you choose to ship these items. All shipments must comply with the import laws of the country of your shipment destination.
We shall not be liable for any loss, damage, destruction of such prohibited product. When in doubt, please contact Indiasey for support.

Q. What are the IndiaSey payment gateway charges?
A. Below are charges applicable for all transactions

Q. How shipping weight is calculated?
A. Shipping weight is determined by volumetric and actual weight of a shipment – whichever is greater.
Q. What is volumetric weight?
A. Volumetric weight is the ‘volume’ a package occupies. (ie, the physical size of a package).

Volumetric weight is calculated by the length x height x width of a package and dividing the result with a volumetric factor.
Q. What is actual weight?
A. The actual physical weight of a package is its actual weight measured in kilograms. In international shipping, how much space a package occupies (volumetric weight) in a cargo hold is as important as how much it weights (actual weight). Large packages, even if they are light, take up more space in an aircraft. This is why shipping companies take the volumetric weight into consideration.

If the volumetric weight exceeds the actual weight, you will be charged the volumetric weight.
Q. Is your shipment charges include Customs and import taxes ?
A. No, All imported goods are subject to a country's customs and duties. As limits and regulations vary in different countries, we encourage you to check on the website of your country's governing authority.

Shipments are delivered with dutyunpaid (DDU). This means duties and customs will not be included in your indiasey shipment charges. Duties and custom payments will be made by you to the courier delivering your package.
Q. Can you arrange pick up from any city in India?
A. Yes, we can arrange Pickup from any city in India
Q. What is the pickup duration?
A. After receiving shipment payment, we will pick the package in 2-3 days.
Q. Do you provide packaging services pickups?
A. No, we don’t provide packaging services for pickup shipments. Customer is responsible for proper international packing of the items.
Packaging services only provided for “Delivery for You” and “Buy for You” services.
Q. Do I need to provide any documents?
A. In case of pickup services customer is responsible to provide items list and cost of each items.
Q. Do you verify package weight after pickup?
A. Weight and dimension will be again checked after pickup and in case if weight and dimensions are different from customer provide weight and dimension than shipping charges will be accordingly adjusted and any additional cost need to paid by customers.

Q. Is my package is covered with insurance during shipment?
A. No, Insurance is not covered under of charges. IndiaSey will not be responsible for damage done during shipment.
Q. Can I change the delivery address after shipment is booked?
A. Yes, however there will additional fee of INR 1000 for address change.
